Hotel Royal Caserta

The location is the best possible in Caserta for visiting the Royal Palace. This was why we chose it. The hotel is comfortable, and Emma on the front desk went out of her way to help solve a problem we had--much appreciated. Breakfast was OK, but staff need to learn how to make tea, i.e., not hot tap water brought in a teapot with no lid, with teabag sitting on a side plate! I know it's not Italian culture, but this is supposedly an international hotel. Room was quite spacious and quiet.

I will definitely start take care with the property's rating on Booking.com. Most guests are European or American, and they value "friendliness", smiling, waving, calling by name and find it beautiful to stay in a homely atmosphere. They don't care about comfort, high standard of services, quality of bed, furniture, shower, 24-hour reception and everything that a reasonable hotel has, expensive investment objective. But they don't give a good evaluation because they consider the treatment to be impersonal. This is the case with this hotel. Large room, comfortable, good wifi, safe and quiet. Great and efficient staff. Our 1 night stay was enforced because of a 6 hour train delay. We were surprised to find a very interesting castle and gardens, we had time for an unplanned visit to the gardens. Looks like you could easily spend an interesting day here. Hotel was fine, staff were helpful, room was clean, facilities were good, breakfast was good. Room was very spacious.

Perfect location, close to station, close to palace and gardens, close to restaurants. Fantastic staff especially in the restaurant. They were happy to converse in English and clearly explained items in menu. Breakfast was excellent. I would stay here then travel to Naples to learn ok around.

The staff was remarkable and friendly. They helped us tremendously with our transportation between cities and had good references for local restaurants. The bellman was welcoming when we checked in and offered us tea and coffee. We had a room with a view of the Palace. It was incredible! Finally the location is right next to the Palace. Visit the nearby midevil town 20 min away too!
